- Pharm-Rx Vancomycin HCL is the hydrochloride salt of a kind of vancomycin, a substance produced by the growth of Streptomyces orientalis (Fam. Streptomycetaceae), or a mixture of two or more such salts. It has a potency equivalent to NLT 900 μg/mg of vancomycin, calculated on the anhydrous basis.
